The Texas in me insists on coming out no matter how hard I try to convert.
Today’s Wisdom Wednesday is simple, yet powerful.
As you read the small passage and commentary, I pray that you will reflect upon the personal issues of life you may be facing today. Even as I type this post, I am searching my own heart to identify what I’ve allowed to creep in to steal the Joy of the Word of God.
If you find yourself fearful today, identify what is in your heart.
If you find yourself bitter, identify what is in your heart.
If you find yourself angry, identify what is in your heart.
Whatever the issue may be, outward circumstances and other people are not the TRUE source of your problem. Identify the tears in your heart and allow God to minister His overwhelming love so your heart may be mended and your perspective may be aligned with the triumphant victory He has given you in Christ Jesus.
I’m preaching to myself right now!!!!
I pray God’s insight upon you as you intake the Wisdom Wednesday message below.
Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. (NIV)
The heart is medically known as the center of life for your physical body; however, it is also referred to as the center of life for your soul (mind, will, emotions, imagination and intellect).
Guarding your heart consists of guarding what you allow to come through the gates of your soul, which are your eyes and ears.
What comes into your eye gates and ear gates enters your heart, forms your thoughts, and eventually comes out through your mouth and actions.
Luke 6:45 tells us, out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. What’s in your heart will eventually come out (Mark 7:21-23).
Keep your heart pure with the Word of God and everything you do will draw from the wisdom you have received from the Word.
